Dhaka, Dec 7 (bdnews24.com)- Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad Thursday said his party is more likely to join the Awami League-led 14-party alliance.
On his return from a 12-day tour of the UK, the JP chief told journalists at the airport, "Now the possibility of joining the four-party electoral alliance is slim."
"We may reach an electoral understanding with an alliance soon. In that case the Jatiya Party is more likely to join the 14-party combine," the former military strongman said about his party's joining an electoral alliance.
Ershad had been changing his mind about joining any electoral alliance for the last five months.
He went to the UK on November 25 wand was originally scheduled to return on December 1.
