Flood suffering people in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh is affected by heavy flood. About one third of area is affected by flood. People are suffering very much. Especially the person who earn regular bases they are suffering unexplained. Immediate need to give them food, pure water and medicine. Necessity food price is very high in Bangladesh now. So never be late. We the Bangladeshi face flood every year. But some time it’s became very painful for us. We have experience overcome two huge floods since 1988 and 1998. So we see after ten years we face a large flood. We not expected that type of flood happen again. We the Bangladeshi always ready to tolerate every thing. We are courageous, brave, fearless and intrepid nation. We have some thing lack of wealth but we are not think for that. We now able to help our affected people. We the whole Bangladeshi ready to face this flood as our ability. We work with our government. Personally I believe if our government, private organization and our rich people try, we overcome this flood without foreign aid. Your brother is suffering. So help them now, almighty Allah definitely kind you. We the people who lived in saved place never realize the affected people condition. So never late help your brother hurry. I request my brother who lived in aboard please help you’re related in danger time. They are looking to you. Almighty Allah gives you more if you help your brother now.

Press Release: (August 1, 2007) Change Bangladesh Organization (CBd), USA website is running and collecting donation for the flood victims in Bangladesh. CBd authority is working relentlessly to update and post information as it is available. Every body in every communities around the world has been urged to donate whatever you can afford US$20, 50, 100, 1000,… etc for the flood victims in Bangladesh. Who are already donated, CBd does appreciate for your generosity.

CBd asks to visualize and think the following situation before your donation:

1) As most of you are seeing the flood victims in Bangladesh through TVs, newspapers or any other kind of media. Think if you were born in those families what would I do? You may have to spend the night without food, your children might be crying for food but you could not provide it. As we can argue that we work hard and that’s why we are successful in USA or any other countries. But think that most of the flood affected people want to work hard but they do not find anything to keep their family going. The point is that if we can afford, we need to donate as much as possible.

2) We have seen that most of the flood affected people were living under US$1/day, they have lost every thing including the animals they have raised to make earning, all they have few dishes where they can cook rice and other things, some of them do not have enough clothes, they lack medicines, etc.

3) Bangladesh does not have luxury where people can get social security checks to survive when they do not have any jobs. Those less than US$1/day earning people do not have jobs but they have family to feed. This is human tragedy and this is our moral duty to help those needy in this crises.

4) CBd is not asking to change your major life style, but CBd is asking to cut down some of it and use that money to help the needy for now.

Immediate needs:

1) Food and Shelters
2) Medicines (i.e. saline, etc)
3) Rehabilitation

You can use major credit cards to donate. I also encourage you to send checks too. Please forward this email your family, friends, neighbors, and communities to encourage them to donate for the flood victims in Bangladesh.

Next Steps:

CBd authority is looking a way to reach mainstream Americans to help these flood victims in Bangladesh, maybe including congressman in our areas. Any constructive ideas or coordination will be appreciated. CBd will urge people who are in TVs (Channel I, ATN, NTV, etc) to give 5 second airtime for this circulation to donate and help the flood victims in Bangladesh. If anybody has contact with them please do as a part of CBd. CBd is comprised with online community and every body is supporting the initiatives and working on helping the needy.

Next Agenda:

CBd is looking for Physicians who can make groups and go to Bangladesh voluntarily to treat those flood victims now and later. After the flood, water borne disease will affect people in the flood area. CBd will buy medicines as needed. CBd is urging to contact Mr. M. M. Chowdhury to make these volunteer groups to send in Bangladesh. CBd will send the board of directors in Bangladesh to oversee the relief work as needed.
