Post subject: Just talking to media doesn't breach oath: Hasan Mashhud
Dhaka, Nov 30 (bdnews24.com) – Just talking to the media does not breach oath, adviser Hasan Mashhud Chowdhury said Thursday in a rebuttal to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
Khaleda accused "some advisers" of breaching oath by talking to the media quite often, when she addressed a function of Bangladesh Bank Employees' Federation.
Khaleda said, "Some of the advisers are not doing their jobs as per their constitutional obligation. They have breached the oath. Listening to their comments makes one feel that they are working to stop a free and fair election."
"We are not doing any wrong. We know our job," Mashhud told reporters in his office.
He said advisers would talk to political parties including the BNP.
On the two-year peace coalition Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus proposed for bickering political parties, he said: "It's a good proposal. The proposal was meant for the political parties, but they didn't accept it. I am not sure where the proposal stands."
